How Ore Design learned to create its own visuals

A sculptural reading lamp AI kept getting wrong. After one session, Mannie had a campaign image, an interior shot and the confidence to keep going.

Mannie Klijn Velderman, designer and marketer behind Ore Design, had a strong product and a clear vision. What she did not have was a way to make images without a studio, a photographer or a location.

Everything centred on the Ore Lunar reading lamp: a refined lamp and table in one, sculptural and quiet. Where AI recognises familiar objects easily, this design was harder. Proportions slipped, details disappeared, and the result did not feel like her brand.

In one Nano Banana session we worked on a single goal: not doing everything at once, but learning how an image is built. How prompts give direction, how you layer, and how you correct course when it is not right yet.

"And practised again today and it did not disappoint. It is now on the webshop as a lifestyle image next to the product. We are blown away."

What this shows is not that AI takes over the work. It shows that a maker can take back control, and build their own visual world at their own pace.

"I had already tried some things with AI images, but it never became what I had in mind. There are so many tools, I just didn't know where to start."
